If you need to create a Blooket Question Set or update an existing one from a spreadsheet, follow the steps outlined in this post.
To create a new Question Set from a spreadsheet or update an existing one from a spreadsheet, you need to copy the Blooket-provided template and edit it in Google Sheets. Alternatively, you can download the spreadsheet to edit the format in Excel.
Either way, you’ll need a CSV file.
While Blooket’s import feature is useful on its own, preparing the CSV file according to their instructions can add to your workload, especially if you need multiple Question Sets. In case you are used to maintaining your assessments in regular Doc or Excel files, the process gets a bit complicated.
There’s another inconvenience. Blooket only allows multiple choice questions. So if your existing assessments consist of other question types like fill-in-the-blank, you have to customize them as well.
That’s a lot, but there’s a way to handle it with ease.
If you use Monsha’s Quiz Questions Generator or Reading Comprehension Question Generator to create your questions, you don’t have to edit your spreadsheets or convert them to CSV files. Instead, you can instantly get a Blooket-ready file!
By the way, you’ll also be able to use this export feature for your questions on platforms like Kahoot! and Quizizz.
Head over to Blooket. On the Question Set Creator page, you’ll find the CSV Import option.
Upload the CSV file you’ve prepared or the Monsha-provided file. After the import is completed, you can edit your Question Set.
With Monsha, you can create quiz questions as well as reading comprehension questions in a few clicks. Once these resources are ready, you’ll have several export options, including “Download for Blooket”. Select it, and you’ll get your properly formatted CSV file.
In case your assessment contains fill-in-the-blank or true/false questions, they’ll be automatically converted; no further editing or customization required.
There’s one more thing. Our teaching-focused tools go beyond generating quiz questions. From lesson plans to worksheets to IEP goals, you can quickly create different types of resources and adapt them to well-known frameworks like Bloom’s taxonomy. So check out Monsha if you’d like to improve your workflow without compromising curriculum expectations.
